Beach awareness for kids
A happy easter indeed, we had an awesome picnic on the beach with the kids from our neighbourhood. Introducing them to the water safely & building confidence in interactions along with Dr. Malika from Akalmadam. Looking forward to creating a system for the kids to come train with us on a regular basis for various recreational sports. The primary aim was to introduce the children to beach usage & beach culture promoting environment protection.
Trash for Cash
An initiative to create awareness amongst the youth about beach culture while exposing them to a variety of aquatic sport programs. Chosen youth would then be trained for certificate programs & coaching provided for national events. The value of the activity has to be paid for with trash collected by the kids.
The Marine Biosphere Lookout Project
An active initiative created to keep an active watch on the happening in our region. While we train & participate in a variety of aquatic activities on a daily basis as active stakeholders our team keeps a vigil on the beaches in the vicinity. This project has now spread to a variety of villages in the region & the reporting structure is growing everyday.
Calling it the ‘Baywatch’ of Tamil Nadu, Jehan says he urges boys and girls to get up on their feet and train as open water lifeguards — “It can earn them a living either within or outside India,” he says. The certificate course includes communication, first-aid, resuscitation, swimming, physical fitness and more in the syllabus. Besides that, he provides classes in kayaking, wind and kitesurfing, where once they grow to an instructor level, they can secure jobs in adventure tourism companies.
Solution through Sports tourism, is something to think about & we are passionate about trying to bring about a positive change through sports like Kitesurfing, Surfing, Stand up Paddle boarding (SUP), Kayaking, Sailing & Snorkelling to name a few.

“I have known these youth since the time they were small kids. I was quite worried to think how their future would be like with the kind of results and improvements they showed during their academic life. It is just very surprising to see the way they have made efforts to do something in life and become such good Adventure instructors.
Enabling youth fishermen into alternative lively hood by providing vocational training. Open water lifeguard course with certificate course in snorkelling & power boat handling to enable them to start their own self help group in Karankadu village

In an effort to replenish fish stocks for subsistence fisherfolk, we have started a marine restoration program; through the installation of artificial reefs. The reef structures provide an ideal substrate for the recruitment and growth of coral polyps. In order to understand the ecological effectiveness of artificial reef systems within the local ecosystem, we conduct rigorous biodiversity monitoring at the reef installations.
