'QASA' - Quest Adventure Sports Academy in Rameswaram provides recreational & professional courses in aquatic adventure sports. Located by the pristine blue waters of the Palkbay & Gulf of Mannar near the historic town of Rameswaram, QASA offers Courses in Kitesurfing, Windsurfing, Scuba Diving, Kayaking, Stand up paddle boarding, Sailing & lifesaving. The Academy has a PADI Dive Center providing scuba diving in Rameswaram & a NauticEd Sailing School which provides sailing courses in India on a luxury sailing catamaran seaQuest. The adventure sports academy hosts a boutique home stay Kathadi North which is suited for travellers who would like a beach holiday while pursuing a water sports course.

The Indian coastline with its pristine lagoon like beaches to its huge breakers allows for an array of ocean activity. The marine adventure sport industry has gained momentum over the years leading to many recreational facilities in various marine sports along the east and west coast of India.
Ages ago at a water-sports event on east coast India everyone's gaze was at sea in awe of an impromptu race between a windsurfer and kitesurfer zipping through the coastline. This is how Arun Vasu (the windsurfer) and Jehan Driver (the kitesurfer) met each other for the first time. They get along like a house on fire, their friendship, has brought a great deal of professionalism to the marine adventure sports industry in India.
Arun Vasu, the Chairman and Managing Director of TT Logistics and Cargo Pvt. Ltd also the Honorary Consul for Sweden, has been windsurfing from the age of 13. With 37 years of experience in the tourism industry, he has successfully, made water sports accessible along the east coast of India, giving fishing communities the opportunity at an alternative occupation of training and teaching marine sports. He facilitates a surf school at Covelong, Chennai run by fisher folk which has resulted in a positive change in the village economy and culture. This is his way of sharing the tremendous joy he experiences in the ocean and the discipline he learns from the sport with as many as he can. His heart is in India being recognised on the world surfing map and aiding athletes to tour the world showcasing their talent from coast to coast, making India proud.
Upasna Mody who is extremely experienced in business development having worked in the corporate world for a variety of top brands in the pharmaceutical & wine industry is the backbone of the business. She balances her office life with Kayaking, Windsurfing, Scuba Diving & Kitesurfing.
Jehan Hoshi Driver, the Founder and Managing Director of Quest Expeditions Pvt. Ltd. has been exploring India for almost 20 years, after securing instructorship in various adventure sports he finally settled for his one and true passion Kitesurfing. Having travelled the world to follow his passion he has spent a majority of time in Queenstown, New Zealand which is deemed the Adventure Tourism Capital of the World where he further studied Adventure Tourism Management and operated an aerobatics aviation outfit. Extremely passionate about developing adventure sports in India, Jehan has came back and started projects to train and facilitate the growth of tourism in his own country. He shares his knowledge gained over 20 years in the adventure tourism industry about the Indian coastline and spectacular kite spots with a select few who can help the growth of the locations sustainably. A true believer in sustainable practices and giving back he has trained orphaned adults and fisher folk into adventure guides to provide them with a vocational livelihood.
Backed by his partner Upasna Mody who has been by his side with extensive experience in the corporate world the duo have been a force to recon with in the Adventure tourism industry.
The two powerhouses, Arun and Jehan have partnered to boost the growth and quality of marine adventure sports in India by launching QTT Adventure Sports Academy Pvt Ltd. Their passion for adventure & sport is what got them together. The company will conduct an array of certificate courses in the Adventure Sports domain, offering a training pathway to Instructor level in sports like Kayaking, SUP, Windsurfing, Sailing, Kiteboarding, including added certifications for Outdoor leadership, Lifeguard training, First Aid, etc. All these programs will offer a vocational pathway to employment in the tourism industry & improve the quality and safety of sports activity provided in India.

If you’re of the mindset that you have to be one of those body-builders or WWF wrestlers to travel with us, you’re blatantly mistaken and how! You don’t have to be a Sylvester Stallone out of Rambo to join us on our excursions. If you’re really that hesitant, take a good look at our guides. Looking at them, you’d probably think that there’s no way in hell they’d be able to accomplish formidable feats, but it’s quite the contrary. To clear the air, it isn’t about your how tall, short, fat or thin you are. So long as you’re fit and well, you can freely travel with us, no hassles, no worries. True, to do the more grueling expeditions, you will have to undergo physical training and a variety of tests, but our focal point is, nothing is impossible. There’s something for everyone; from the fit and adventurous who’d probably like to get into the nitty-gritty of things to the ‘soft travelers’ who like to travel in luxury from point A to point B. We’re a very accommodating bunch who aim at making your trip with us one you’ll cherish for a lifetime.
