The Kayak is a slender vessel which can be propelled by moving a paddle to create thrust. The kayaker sits on or inside the kayak comfortable & can go long distances in a variety of conditions. Some kayaks are built to carry heavy loads so the kayaker can paddle across oceans. The simplest form of a kayak for a beginner is called a sit on top recreational kayak. These are extremely stable & easy to use often made of high density polyurethane (strong plastic) making them indestructible.
